Special education is not only an important part of basic education in elementary and middle schools in China,but also an important part of promoting education equity and realizing education modernization.At present,there is a large room for improvement in the development of special education in China,an uneven regional development,and large changes in the structure of source of students.The formulation and promulgation of the Special Education School Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards 2016 Edition shows China's emphasis on special education,and the new curriculum standards also clearly stipulate the basic status of literacy teaching.This is an inevitable requirement for implementing the new curriculum standards to advance education equity in depth,promote the overall development of students,and improve the quality of special education.Facing the requirements of the new era,the Research on the Chinese Literacy Teaching of Life in the Lower Grades of Special Education School has adapted to the needs of China 's special education reform,which not only helps the practice and exploration of Special Education School's classroom teaching under the new curriculum standard,and researches on the reform and reconstruction of special education school curriculum and other related topics,but also promotes the reform of special education teaching.In this paper,the reasons for selecting topics in light of the background of the times are first introduced,and the research ideas and methods are initially determined on the basis of related research.Based on the analysis of curriculum standards,textbooks,and literacy laws of mentally retarded children,the ideal state of Chinese Literacy Teaching of Life in the Lower Grades of Special Education School has been basically recognized,that is,Chinese Literacy Teaching of Life in the Lower Grades of Special Education School should be "life-centered" with a clear and open concept of literacy teaching,focusing on "student life" to enrich literacy teaching resources,adopting "multiple measures",optimizing literacy teaching methods,and "evaluating for development",and flexibly using multiple evaluation methods.Furthermore,through the investigation of L Special Education School,there are still the followingproblems found,that is,in terms of teaching objectives,the three-dimensional objectives are invisible,and the gradient design is ignored,which is difficult to reflect the teaching principles of "Diversion of Knowledge and Writing";in terms of implementation of teaching,unfavorable implementation of layered teaching is difficult to provide individualized support,literacy content limited textbooks,teaching method emphasizes intuitiveness while ignoring the importance of student experience,and frequent classroom problems affect the normal teaching order;in terms of teaching evaluation,the evaluation basis is insufficient and the evaluation method is single.The reasons can be summarized in the following aspects: too much difference in mentally retarded children makes teaching difficult,the lack of curriculum standards leads to the lack of basis for teaching,the characteristics of Chinese characters increase the difficulty of literacy for students,and the teaching concept and ability of teachers need to be improved.In response to the existing problems,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed: First,the most urgent task is to update teachers' literacy teaching concepts;second,to study the curriculum standards and implement "standard-based teaching";third,to enhance the pertinence of literacy teaching and develop more suitable literacy teaching programs for students with different needs based on the individualized education plan of the students;fourth,to analyze the teaching materials and give full play to the educational value of the life world;fifth,to follow the law of literacy teaching and innovate teaching methods;sixth,to comprehensively use evaluation methods and pay attention to students' literacy process and literacy results.
