China is a multi-national country,and the national relations are of vital importance to the nation's future and modernized development.In the new stage of building up a harmonious society in all fields of our nation.There is a vital problem which should be solved well, with great efforts is how the new situation and new problem of the nation relations call be replayed appropriately and handled timely.This dissertation offers a case study of the Hui and Han national relations, selected the Yinchuan City to investigate the point, combined with related historical data, on the basis of fieldwork, use the theories of ethnology, sociology, anthropology, from the pattern of residence, historical memory, cultural practices, national intermarriage, the point of viewof national policy several more systematic and comprehensive investigation analysis on the Hui and Han national relations. To sum up the characteristics the Hui and Han national relations and think of some issues through the investigation in Yinchuan City.The article text is consist of the introduction and six chapters.The section of the introductory discussed the significance of the topic, describes the related researches and introduces the use of theories and methods. The first chapter described the national composition of Yinchuan, migration and the living pattern of the Hui and Han, so discussed the local Hui and Han national relations from these angles. The second chapter is back the Hui and Han national origin in Yinchuan City from a historical perspective, comed back the national relations of the Hui and Han in the history of Ningxia province, and discussed the contacts of historical memory and relations of Hui and Han in the back of some major historical events. The third chapter discussed that cultural customs affected on the national relations of Hui and Han from the two aspects of religious beliefs and dietary. The forth chapter explored the exchanges of Hui and Han from national intermarriage exchanges and discussed the impact of the Hui and Han national relations from individuals of national members between the Hui and Han of exchanges and interaction. The fifth chapter discussed that the national autonomous policy and government behaviour is how to affect the Hui and Han national relations from national policy perspective and the two aspects of minority preferential policies and the problems of leaders. The last chapter summarized the characteristics of the Hui and Han national relations in Yinchuan, and finally put forward some thinking.This paper argues that the generation, development and continuation of the Hui and Han national relations in Yinchuan City, mainly relying on the natural, social, historical, cultural and economic background in Yinchuan. In a word, the Hui and Han relations in Yinchuan have maintaied a harmonious situation, both of them get along with more harmonious at the same time maintain a certain cultural boundaries. Meanwhile, based on the existence of some issues, the author consider that the local government should further strengthen exchanges and discussion between the Hui and Han cultural practices, eliminate misunderstandings by vigorously supporting the development of the local national economy and education and actively promoting the various national groups on the basis of mutual respect, and finally achieve each of the Hui and Han national relations "to understand yourself and discover your own form of beauty,to be friend others and appreciate radiance of different people,once everybody is ignited to find out positiveness from all angles,to wonders of the world can be spotted anywhere anytime" and bring about harmony but not sameness's relations.
