| In China, educational anthropology study was started from minority ethnic group education research in the early1980s. After being through the introduction and independent exploration period, educational anthropology study has made a significant progress. At present, what degree does this discipline develop to? What's the group structure of researchers? What problems still exist? What's the potential of this discipline? These questions are the important foundation and premise of combining scholars'consensus as well as speeding up the discipline development.This article suggests that based on the unique developmental background of educational anthropology in China, the term "educational anthropology" has the features of broad comprehensiveness, inclusiveness, and openness in Chinese context and it is related to "educational anthropology","minority ethnic group education","multicultural education" and "cross-culture education"--these four relative independent and mutual cross fields of study. This article starts from probing into these four keywords:"educational anthropology","minority ethnic group education","multicultural education" and "cross-culture education", mainly by literature review of Chinese mainland educational anthropology research, supplemented by literature review of educational anthropology research in Hong Kong and Taiwan, explores both the current status and development of educational anthropology study in China.Different from the former Chinese educational anthropology historical retrospective research based on literature review,this article emphasizes applying the bibliometrics. From the "quantitative" perspective, Chinese educational anthropology research literature are classified into four categories:works,journal article,PhD dissertation,and Master thesis.By collecting,analyzing and quantitative statistics research, the article preliminarily explores the current status and development of educational anthropology study in China mainly from five aspects:classification of literature genre, time distribution of literature, educational period of research subjects,classification of researchers, journal distribution;then the article generally discusses the obtained achievement and existed problems of Chinese educational anthropology as well as the strategies and suggestions to these problems by using qualitative methods as a combination.This article has four chapters.Chapter1, Introduction. This chapter briefly introduces the current status of Chinese educational anthropology, proposes the research questions of this research, defines the concept range of the term "educational anthropology" in Chinese context and analysis dimensions of this research,states the aim, meaning,and the method of this research in detail.Chapter2,Literature Collection and Analyzing. This chapter mainly displays the logic and process of Chinese educational anthropology research literature collecting and analyzing.Chapter3,Literature Classification, Statistic, and Analysis. According to the analysis dimension defined in Chapter1and the research subject established in Chapter2,this chapter classified the Chinese educational anthropology research literature into four categories:works, journal article, PhD dissertation, and outstanding Master thesis and preliminarily categories, statistics, analyzes from five aspects:classification of literature genre, time distribution of literature, educational period of research subjects, classification of researchers, journal distribution.Chapter4, Problems, Strategies and Trend of Chinese Educational Anthropology Study. According to the analyzing results of Chapter3, this chapter summarizes the current problems of Chinese educational anthropology, proposes the strategies and suggestions, and promotes the prospects of Chinese educational anthropology study.In this article, four chapters are all linked with one another, and combined as an integrity. It is a fully displaying of the research process that the researcher utilizes bibliometrics to explore, analyze and solve the problems of Chinese educational anthropology study current status and the development. |
