Fracture In Mosuo Society

The unique family structure.marriage patterns,and belief systems of mosuo has drawn attention from outside world, anthropology, ethnology and religious scholars from domestic and foreign start to study it and yielded fruitful results. Some scholars think that it is the last matriarchal Kingdom, Some scholars affected by the concept of the stage of social development discourse which is from Morgan's "Ancient Society".call it "living fossil of the development of human society." In this paper with the view of sociology, around the Social Structure changes of the two Mosuo Villages in the past20years, through the internal integration and mobilize of tourism development, three basic architecture of mosuo:family structure.marriage patterns,and belief systems have changed and led to the change of mosuo society. Tourism development is not the only force caused the change of the Mosuo social structure, but it is an important turning point.How tourism deep-seated dtrect the changes of Mosuo society, it is necessary to deep-seated logic of the operation.With the reform and opening up in the late1970s, China has into social transformation stage. With the deepening of social transformation, in order to integrate into the trend of globalization and modernization, the national implementation strategy of western development in the nineties, social mobilization are mainly centered on economic construction. It is in this social background, with beautiful natural resources and unique cultural resources,Mosuo society was developmented. From the surface,tourism development make the mosuo obtain a better economic efficiency, but with deeper analysis of the operation logic of tourism development, we can see that the tourism development of the Mosuo society has many problems:tourism development is modeling; various interest groups involved in the mosuosocial.the distribution of interest is imbalance; the disintegration of traditional social resources; People's living has to reconstruction.The changes of social structure mean that Mosuo society is fracturing in the process from traditional to modern fracture. This paper argues that embedded by outside strong forces.like the Mosuo niche social,it needs maintain and undertake social structure with the following construct:Rebuilding the tourism development mode;build interest coordination mechanisms; the establishment of a social organization and revitalize the Mosuo traditional social resources, and lay a community basis.
