Study On Interest-related Group In The Change Of Urban-society Structure

In the last few years, the urban-society structure has been deeply changed in the city, especially the modern big city such as Shanghai, in our country. In the urban life, various social groups and organizations of great interest are increasingly prosperous. As a new kind of ties of social members, interest-related have been playing more and more important roles in the social integration. This thesis approaches the characteristic and the function of those interest-related groups from the perspective of Daily Life. Concretely speaking, the basic problem can be expressed as follows: How the interest-related groups in the city nowadays emerge? How about the inter-personal interaction in those interest-related groups? What kind of role do the interest-related groups play in its member's social support network? What influence do the interest-related groups have on other aspects of the daily life of its members?This thesis selects a typically spontaneous interest-related group, M Huangmei Opera Fans' Group as the typical individual case, analysis and discusses the problems by using participated observation method, in-depth interview method, individual case analysis method, and so on. The writer thinks: Firstly, the interest-related group not only provided a terrace of exchanges for the people who have the same interest, the help to its member also involves the various aspects of the daily life. The member can acquire various kinds of instrumental support, emotional support, which becoming part of their society capital, from the interest-related group. Secondly, taking part in the activity of the interest-related group influences the leisure time of the members to a certain extent, and exercise influence to their consumptions pattern. Finally, most of the members have strong approbation feeling and ownership feeling to this interest-related group. They are willing to become a member of the group and proud of it at heart, thus they possess certain sense of group responsibility.
