The Research On The Feasibility Of The Nation-traditional P.E. Sports

This study,making use of literature,questionnaire,expert interviews, mathematical statistics,logic analysis,laboratory and statistical analysis and other methods,has done an in-depth feasibility study for the colleges and universities of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to carry out the traditional ethnic sports.According to the study,over the past ten years,taijiquan,pearl ball, quick ball,looting fireworks,jumping the queue,and other traditional ethnic sports have been well carried out in some of the colleges and universities of Ningxia,not only promoting the inheritance and development of the traditional ethnic sports but also enriching the content of the curriculum to gain prominent characteristics.To carry out the traditional ethnic sports and make greater contributions to physical education reform,the colleges and universities of Ningxia can take full advantage of the province's rich cultural resources of the traditional sports of ethnic minorities,the use of the platform of institutions of higher learning,its physical education and after-school sports training and competition,the establishment of the national traditional sports training base and student associations as well as the establishment of colleges and universities' competition and research association of the traditional ethnic sports.The study has found that colleges and universities in Ningxia have already had the necessary conditions to carry out the traditional ethnic sports.They are like the following:1.With the deepening of education reform of colleges and universities, the nation is bound to promote and popularize the traditional sports of ethnic minorities in local colleges and universities.2.The opportunity of Western Region Development,the nation's emphasis on traditional ethnic sports,and the national policy in support of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region have laid the material foundation for colleges and universities to carry out the traditional ethnic sports.3.Traditional ethnic sports are actually a collection of exercise body-building,education,entertainment,and fun.They are the ideal sports for pleasure and fitness and also suitable for college students' physical and mental characteristics.4.The present facilities of the colleges and universities as well as their teaching staff have been proved to be satisfactory for the basic hardware and software requirements of the traditional ethnic sports.5.The local colleges and universities' superiority in geographical features,the technology,people of talent and information has provided technical support for the traditional ethnic sports.
