Yan Shigu's annotations of Hanshu collected more than 20 kinds of explanatory-note works and cited more than a hundred kinds of documents up to the the Tang Dynasty. Thus it is regarded as a generalization in the history of the study of Hanshu, as well as a collection of documents up to the Tang Dynasty.Yan's annotations cited documents among Jing, Shi, Zi, and Ji, and he cited documents of Jing intensely.According to our statistics, among all documents cited by Yan, about 70% belong to Jing. Among documents cited by Yan, this paper selected 13 kinds of documents, that is, Dadailiji, Erya, Hanshiwaizhuan, Hanshizhuan, The Book of Rites, The Analects of Confucius, Mencius, Shangshu, The Book of Songs, The Book of Filial Piety, Yili, Zhouli, and The Book of Changes, and collated cited text with their current common versions. In the collation, we used other sources, such as Annotation of Classics, other current versions, versions in bamboo and silk, and Dunhuang literature as references. This paper elaborated the differences between cited text and current common versions. At the same time, focusing on these differences, we discussed some problems in the field of the collation of text in Jing, in the field of former research works in Jing, and in the field of the pros and cons of Yan's annotation of Hanshu. We also discussed some issues in the collation and punctuation of the de facto standard version of Hanshu published by Chung Hwa Book Company. We included all the differences in this paper. However, to avoid duplication, we excluded those differences that Yan himself has already specified. For reference, we also prepared an index of citations from these 13 kinds of documents, attached after the main part.
