Playing a significant role to support the national economy, machinery industry is a basic industry of national economy. Since 1990. China's .machinery industry has maintained a good developing momentum, and contributed for China's sustained and rapid development. In 2010, China's machinery exports of industrial equipment accounted for of 17.73% of total exports.Since the U.S. financial crisis in September 2008, a severe recession attacked the world economy, and the global trade situation has been seriously affected. To boost China's import and export trade, the Government carried out a series of policies, and proposed to transform our foreign trade development mode.Since March 2009, obvious signs of economic recovery have appeared. They were probably marks of post-crisis era. However, the global economy remains very fragile, and shows multiple features.Affected by the international economic environment, Chinese machinery industrial import and export dropped to its lowest point in January 2009. Thanks to the stimulating domestic policies, the machinery industry import and export data vibrated and is rising slowly. At the end of 2010, they restored to the level before the financial crisis. The development of import and export machinery industry is a microcosm of China's manufacturing import and export trade. There are some problems to be solved, such as the need for optimizing the industrial structure. However, Chinese machinery industry policies carried in the development of trade should be based on national conditions, and can not copy the Western trade theory.
