As one of the most biggest steel base in West China and the three vanadium base in the world, Panxi area has mineral resource intensive industries, superior composition conditions, favorable exploitative conditions. But In the area, mineral logistics corridors development couldn't fit for the freight demand. The clear performances are:railway and highway are main mode of shipping which have been overburden. water carriage falls behind in area, while water transport resources have huge potential in Sichuan, facing beneficial situation and macro-environment, could give play to sea shipment and multimodal transport. Regrettably, these precious resource wasn't used effectively. The limit of Panxi mineral logistics corridors development caused low distribution efficiency, obstructed and small mineral market compared with North China.Consequently, this paper based on the logistics corridors theory, concluded the main influencing factor about logistics corridors choosing. Analysed current situation and development tendency of mineral industry, as well as function in Panxi economy. Besides, from production, consumption, market and channel capacity, the paper analysed the situation of mineral logistics corridors system in Panxi.Next, according area development planning, the paper forecasted production and demand in future, analysed the adaptability of logistics corridors, On the base of opportunities and challenges, the paper gave some advices and planning for mineral logistics from main logistics corridors construction, management system and information platform.Then, the paper applied the proposition to specific case study, built indexes system for program selection, calculated and evaluated. Finally, built a selection model under double targets of time and cost to calculate, compare logistics corridors programs and find optimal selection.
