Thermal power enterprises in China experienced a period of rapid development, it has also experienced a high energy consumption and high pollution period. During the next 50 years, China's thermal power industry will continue to maintain high-speed development trend. If we failure to take effective measures in the long run, it will certainly not conducive to sustainable energy development throughout the country, and as the theme of micro-enterprises, the thermal power for sustainable development will face weak force. The coming of circular economy era offers both opportunities and challenges for the sustainable development of thermal power company. Therefore, how to grasp the context of environmental protection and the new thermal power points in the new era is placed in front of a major thermal power business tasks.This paper selects four representative thermal power companies for comprehensive evaluation objects, establishes a set of reasonable comprehensive evaluation index system based on deep understanding of sustainable development of China's thermal power enterprises. Which describes the qualitative indicators in form of interval numbers, then uses the entropy method to get weights, and use multi-objective fuzzy optimization model to calculate the degree of memberships belong to the ideal feature vector, then rank the four thermal power companies according to the degree of memberships. The empirical results show that it is an effective way with strong practical significance.This paper considers complexity of sustainable development and ambiguity of human thinking to evaluate thermal power enterprises in China, makes the raw data more real and effective. In determining the weight of each attribute, use of the objective weighting method of entropy weight method to calculate the weights of each index, this method makes full use of the information contained in the original data itself, and overcomes the rule of thumb to determine the subjective and arbitrary weights, thereby increasing the the credibility of the weights, It makes the decision-making results more true and reliable. It supplys business-related work for the thermal power a scientific basis.
