The percentage of SMB(Small & Medium Business) in developed countries is about 97%. It contributes more than 50% jobs and economy.99% of China enterprises are SMB, providing 80% of jobs in cities and contribute 50% of total tax nation wide. The broadband penetration rate is 92.7% by Dec,2010. SMBs become more and more dependent upon Information Technology. Computer is widely used in all levels of business operation. All kinds of computer management system were developed. e.g. Fixed Assed Management System, Finance Management System, Sales Management System and Human Resource Management System. If SMBs can get convenient remote service, they can reduce the traffic cost, lower the losses of computer crush and improve productivity.Obviously, with the expanding of IT application in business management and tight relation to core business, the complesity of IT management continue to increase.Enterprise continusly to invest people, money and facilities on IT while IT system still has a lot of issues and bring little benefit. The main reason is that the services tailored for SMB have not been widely implemented. The broadband penetration rate is 92.7% up to Dec,2012. Under this environment, SMB can get convenient remote service, can reduce inconvenience by traffic, lower the loss of computer issues and improve productivity. Although there are some remote services tailored for SMB in the market, they are still focus on remote hardware and software maintenance. The basic service model has not changed yet. The only benefit is that less of on-site support required. Although this kind of service is still pre-mature, some SMBs already benefit from it.While service provide still cannot gain a lot.With the development of Cloud Computing, it attracts a lot of enterprise users by its low price, flexible applications and powerful functions, while the business benefit of Cloud has not been fully developed. Although Cloud Service faces a lot of issues, e.g. security, privacy, billing and legal, it has big potential business opportunities and society benefits.Google, Amazon and other big companies have bought Cloud Service into the market while it just starts in China. How service provide in China grasp this opportunity to develop remote service suitable for China SMB, change old process and raise competitiveness and position in the market? This is very important for China economy transition and development.If SMB can take advantage of Cloud Service, it will change both enterprises and service providers. Eventully will bring benefit to economy and society. This article studies upon the questions above. It gets the SMBs'needs from real end user research and analysize service operation pattern using real data. In addition, it uses real case of Lenovo Group to get the result that service providers need to transition to fit the new service market.Hope this article can help service providers to develop new products tailored for SMBs, make long term strategy and and win-win with SMBs.
