Economic Integration With East Asian Regional Trade Arrangements

In nowadays,when economic globalization moving fast, countries of East Asia has put more and more emphasis on the cooperation of each other. As a part of Asia,East Asia has many countries which state beside each other.The closely connections in geography make the countries in this region have common benefits,and the trade contacts help to make the interaction in economy,culture and many other aspects. The crisis happened in 1997, open the door of cooperation among Asia countries.Since then, Asia countries realized the importance of cooperation between each other in resisting economic crisis,developing domestic economy and raising the benefit of people.But for the reason of different economic system,political system,culture and so on,the integration of East Asia is going under the diversification process.This essay put emphasis on the integration of East Asia,discuss the development orientation in the future.In this essay, I use different analysis methods to compute the complementary index of trade structure of different countries,the benefits in regional trade agreement and many other aspects in Asia regional trade agreement.In front three chapters,I described the definition of economic integration and regional trade agreement. In chapter four, I compute the benefit effects in different FTA, such as ASEAN+3,ASEAN+6, compare the difference between each other.In chapter five,I set all the commodities into ten categories,then compute the complementary index between different categories among different countries, from this way, I can deduce the trade complementary structure between different countries; In chapter six, I use Empirical analysis method to analyse the relationship between the regional trade agreement and the benefit effect. I choose the trade structure and GDP as the variables, the latest ten year-data as the data resource,then use Granger causality test to manifest that:regional trade agreement is the Granger cause of economic growth.Last chapter is the summary of this essay, it put forward the strategy in how to improve the process of East Asia economic integration,at the same time, focus on the Chinese participation in East Asia regional trade agreement.
