A Research Of The Internal Boundary Effect In China-ASEAN Free Trade Area

With the deepening and advancing of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the gradual reduction of tariff and non-tariff barriers, the trade between Member States has been expanding. However, the study shows even in highly developed areas of integration, such as the EU and North America, which is still determined that there is a higher trade barriers, and this barrier is defined as the boundary effect; and by measuring the potential of CAFTA trade between Member States found that trade between Member States there are still insufficient. Therefore, in the case of CAFTA established, it's significant greatly to study and determine the boundary effects of CAFTA, to analyze the influence effect of CAFTA factors within the boundaries. At present, domestic and foreign scholars study the boundary effect theory qualitatively not only from theory, but also from quantitative empirical research, and trade gravity model has become an important method of boundary effects. Full-text consists of five parts:The first chapter is an introduction. This chapter discusses the proposed research and significance, research ideas and methods, the main ideas and innovations; also reviewed related literature focus mainly introduces the connotation of the border and border effects, and the Empirical Study of the border.Finally, the literature were evaluated.The second chapter is the evaluation of the FT A trade cooperation process. The chapter analyzed the cooperation of the FTA trending in detail, and around the time the FTA tariff cuts to introduce the development of a free trade zone status of trade and the problems in the trade development.The third chapter is the Free Trade Area of the boundary effects. This chapter combines the actual situation of a free trade zone, building a suitable model for boundary effects, analyzing the effects of free trade area within the boundary of the trend and influencing factors.The fourth chapter is the boundary effect of factors. This chapter combines the regression results of Chapterâ…¢, introduce the factors such as the market integration, trade and environment, economic development level, language and culture, system, distance,and discuss the influence of the factors to the boundary effect.Chapter Five is the basic conclusions and enlightenment. This chapter concluded by the above analysis:free trade zone among the member states there is a significant border effect, but with the FTA construction progresses, the internal boundary effect decreased; while the higher level of market integration, good trade environment, a similar level of economic development, a similar language and culture and national borders contribute to weakening the border effect, promoting the growth of trade.
