A Survey On Garden Nursery Sales In Wenjiang District Of Chengdu City

With typical investigation method,this paper investigated 30 representatives landscaping enterprises which were selected from large,medium and small landscaping enterprises, and analyzed the species,specifications,prices and sales volume of seedling sales in Wenjiang District. We also research application status of garden seedlings of Sichuan basin and the surrounding provinces,which was closely related to the seedling market in Wenjiang.The main conclusions are as follows:The main trees sales in Wenjiang District are 39 kinds,such as Osmanthus fragrans, Lagerstroemia indica, Prunus serrulata, Ginkgo biloba, Hibiscus mutabilis, Cinnamomum camphora, Cinnamomum japonicum, Ficus microcarpa, Phoebe zhennan, Magnolia grandiflora, Elaeocarpus decipiens, Chaenomeles speciosa, Prunus cerasifera, Koelreuteria paniculata, Phoenix canariensis, Livistona chinensis.And the main cover plants are 11 kinds,such as Rhododendron simsii, Fatsia japonica, Loropetalum chinense var.rubrum, Mahonia fortunei, Gardenia jasminoides, Photinia serrulata.Seedlings planted area has reached 87×106m2 in 2008 in WenjiangDistrict, which has reached saturation.About sales regions, seedlings were mainly sold to the province, including Chengdu,Nanchong,Mianyang,Dazhou,Liangshan,Zigong and so on, while surrounding provinces are mainly Chongqing,Yunnan,Guizhou and few of them are sold to Guangdong,Guangxi,Shaanxi,Jiangsu,Shanghai,Hainan,Henan.On sales methods, it is basically through flowers intermediate and flowers brokers before 2002,while online marketing sales accounted for 28% of total sales in 2010, and it will continue to increase.Sales price and sales volume generally turn a rising trend from 1998 to 2010.Different types of seedlings sales appears the following characteristics:(1) The advantage of evergreen seedlings are more than deciduous seedlings. The types of evergreen seedlings are relatively more than 8% of deciduous seedlings.Evergreen seedlings can account for 62% on sales, while only 38% of the deciduous seedlings.(2) The sales status of coniferous tree is less than hardwood. Coniferous trees account for only 8%, while hardwoods are accounted for most.Conifers can account for 11% of total sales, while hardwoods can account for 89%.(3) Colorful seedlings markets share have increased. The species of colorful seedling account for 24%, but the mainly part is seedlings, and less small trees and shrubs. Colorful seedlings are only accounted for 6% on sales, while their future market share can be accounted for 15%-20% according to market demands.(4) The market situation of flower seedlings is much better than foliage seedinling. Species of flower seedlings are accounted for 32%,with the same of sales value, because of small size of flower seedlings and prices rise less than large-sized ornamental seedlings, the proportion of sales value was not significantly increased,although the sales volume is large.(5) Large size seedlings has a good sales momentum.Species of large size seedlings account for only 41%,while the proportion of sales was approximately 95%, in addition to several times of its price in the seedlings, sales volume growth bring the higher sales.(6) Native species are focal point of cultivated species in Wenjiang District. The introduced species account for only 8%, and the sales volume are parallelled with it.
