TD-SCDMA, as the third-generation mobile communication standard, is China's own intellectual property right, it has played a significant role in the technological progress and the national economic promotion. While the patent valuation, by way of the basis for IP policies optimization and patent resources allocation, is also the guarantee for patent scientific development. Therefore, the importance of assessing TD-SCDMA's patent value is self-evident. However, because of the lack of theoretical research, TD-SCDMA's patent valuation practice is poverty. The purpose of this thesis is to solve the problem and provide a valuable reference to relevant institutions and enterprises, which has theoretical value as well as practical sense for China's mobile communication industry.First, with the analysis based on the large number of domestic and foreign literature documents, the paper summarizes the results, introduces the relevant concepts of patent valuation and its necessity, and elaborates TD-SCDMA's pivotal technologies, prominent characteristics as well as evolution progress. Second, the paper uses the index method to analyze the influence factors which affect TD-SCDMA's patent value in terms of the particularities of TD-SCDMA's patent valuation, with the purpose to establish a comprehensive patent valuation index system for TD-SCDMA in four aspects: technical value, network value, market value and right value. Meanwhile, in order to guaranty its scientificity and feasibility, the paper adds some quantitative research methods: AHP for index weight, fuzzy evaluation for patent evaluation. Finally, based on the assessment result, the paper propses some countermeasures and suggestions to enhance TD-SCDMA's patent value, and to promote the development of China's TD-SCDMA industry.
