A Study On The Factors Which Affect The Development Of Photovoltaic Industry In Jiangxi

With the decreasing traditional energy resources, and the continuous energy crises, people began to turn to the solar energy which is inexhaustible, pollution-free. Naturally, photovoltaic industry has been put on the agenda. With Xinyu city as its main producer and Solar LDK Co., Ltd. as the core enterprise, Jiangxi photovoltaic industry from scratch has developed strong production capacity and initially established complete industrial chain from the silicon material, silicon wafers to the solar battery parts and related products. With an effective way of foreign cooperation, a number of key personnel, obvious advantages of scale and market competitiveness in China, Jiangxi photovoltaic industry has made tremendous contributions to the economic development of Jiangxi Province. At the same time, the government issued a PV industry development plan in Jiangxi Province, and established the export credit insurance cooperation mechanisms to support the development of photovoltaic industry in Jiangxi. Jiangxi Province government has also established industrial park in Nanchang and Xinyu photovoltaic industry base. Photovoltaic enterprises flourish on a large scale, everywhere a bustling scene.However, behind the bustling scene are the enormous obstacles and hidden dangers, such as the lack of technical, market barriers, imperfect supply chain, weak policy support, profit-oriented entrepreneurs. Therefore, according to the problems of the PV industry and the needs to develop the economy and improve the ecological civilization in our province, it's necessary to study the influencing factor of the PV industry and learn of the relationship between them by empirical research, thus putting forward a proposal for the development of the PV industry in our province.In this paper, take Solar LDK for example, the author establish the multiple linear regression model, analyze the date by SPSS17.0 and obtain four major factors which influence the Solar LDK sales and their degree of influence to the sales, based on the Solar LDK's financial statements submitted to the NYSE and the internal information from my students in the company and the date from 2007-2010 Jiangxi Province Statistical Yearbook and Bureau of Jiangxi Province. Based on the conclusions drawn from the analysis, the paper provides five suggestions for the development of photovoltaic industry in Jiangxi: speeding up the development of core technology, strengthening government regulation and support efforts, developing the provincial and the domestic market, integration of solar PV industry chain and training professionals.
