Energy shortage and environment polluting have been worsening, under the circumstance, solar photovoltaic power generation has been greatly concerned all around the world, due to its clean, safety, convenience and efficiency. The significance and value of this thesis are reflected in two aspects. The first aspect is about theoretical significance. I tried to figure out the principal components that affect the regional competitiveness of solar photovoltaic industry to construct theoretical analyzing framework which is specialized for solar photovoltaic industry. The second aspect is about practical significance. This thesis will help to make some supplements to the research on photovoltaic industry.Main innovation points of the thesis are about the content and data selection. This thesis will help to make some supplements to the research on photovoltaic industry which focused on regional competitiveness of china’s solar photovoltaic industry. And it’s not proper to use the data from the existing industrial statistics system. In order to solve this problem, I collected the data from the annual reports of listed companies whose primary business are associated with photovoltaic industry.Object of this thesis is china’s solar photovoltaic industry and theoretical basis of this thesis is regional competitiveness of the industry. This thesis is divided into five chapters.First chapter:Introduction. Make an introduction about the background, significance, research outline, methods and innovations.Second chapter:Literature Review. Conclude research on industrial competitiveness from both foreign and domestic, including theoretical basis, developments, typical models and influencing factors.Third chapter:Status quo of china’s photovoltaic industry. I analyzed the status quo of the industrial chain, Industrial agglomeration and related policies on the base of the general situation of china’s photovoltaic industry. Forth chapter:Evaluation and analysis of china’s regional competitiveness of photovoltaic industry. Firstly, I analyzed the influencing factors from "industrial structure competitiveness","industrial organization competitiveness","business administration competitiveness" and "external environment competitiveness". Secondly, I came up with the system of evaluation on the china’s regional competitiveness of photovoltaic industry. Thirdly, I used principal component analysis to evaluate the China’s regional competitiveness of photovoltaic industry.Fifth chapter:conclusions and suggestions. Firstly, I came to three conclusions from the analysis above:(1) These three principal components that influencing China’s regional competitiveness of photovoltaic industry are "microcosmic competitiveness source","macroscopic competitiveness source" and "result of competitiveness".(2)Factor hat influencing mostly the ranking of China’s regional competitiveness of photovoltaic industry is "business administration competitiveness".(3)Each region has its own Strengths and Weaknesses relatively, but the final ranking is Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hebei, Sichuan, Ningxia. Secondly, I came up with the corresponding three suggestions:(1) Focus on cultivating backbone enterprises.(2) Create regional industry cluster brand on divergent road.(3) Construct the regional innovation system systematicly to enhance the technical innovation ability. Finally, the deficiencies of this thesis are reflected in three aspects:(1) Principal component analysis can only reflect the general characters but not the special characters which caused by different Resource Constraint.(2)Limited sample size will affect the reliability of the data.(3) Agent indexes that used in the thesis may cause some deviations.
