Process Adaptability Of The Bank In The Small And Medium-sized Banks In China

With the completion of state-owned commercial banks'reform and listing, foreign banks'continuous expansion, many domestic small and medium banks face a more competitive market environment, and need a lot of change to survive. Bank reengineering may be one of the effective ways to enhance the competitiveness of banks. The existing research about bank reengineering rarely sets small and medium commercial banks as objects. Then in order to make great promotions, it is necessary to do research on "process bank" construction in small and medium commercial banks.This paper reviews the relative researches at home and abroad, then combined with the practice and enlightenment of processes bank from advanced foreign banks and the large domestic banks of China, puts out the situation and problems of "processes bank" construction in small and medium banks. After the analysis of the internal and external conditions for bank reengineering, it discusses the feasibility and necessity of bank reengineering in small and medium banks. Furthermore, take XX bank for example, it introduces the ideas and practices for improving the operating mode, and analyzes the program of reengineering, which focuses on improving the line management effectiveness and the functions of back, middle and front office. The analysis serves as a preliminary work of improving the business model of XX bank. Meanwhile, the experience and implications from the bank reengineering practice of advanced foreign banks can shed light on the research and practice of the bank reengineering in China. Through the inclusive analysis, in theory the paper help to further understand the main factors affecting the development of small and medium banks and the role of process reengineering, and in application it provide systematic, workable ideas or programs to help the process bank reform of small and medium sized banks in China.
