Research On Influential Factors And Strategies Of China's Agricultural Foreign Direct Investment

With the fully opening to the outside world of China's agriculture, agricultural FDI will be the inevitable choice for China to develop modern agriculture and improve the international competitiveness, which is also in line with the "going out" strategy. Therefore, this paper will analyze the necessity of China's agricultural FDI from the microcosmic aspect and macroscopic aspect, based on the systematic review of the China's agricultural FDI. Meanwhile, this paper takes advantage of the SWOT-CLPV model to analyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of the China's agricultural FDI. Based on it, this paper analyzes the factors influencing China's agricultural FDI. Finally, this paper uses the cases to analyze the main pattern of the China's agricultural FDI and the choices of the China's agricultural FDI.The research found that the development speed of China's agricultural FDI is slow, but it has its necessity to invest abroad; the strength and weakness analysis shows China's agricultural FDI has its strength, such as foreign exchange reserve, policy, technology and experience; its weakness like talent, enterprise competitiveness, capacity of technology innovation; its opportunity like economic globalization, international conditions and International Trade; its threat like world-class transnational corporation, competition environment, different culture and green trade barrier. The analysis of influencing factors shows that factors like agricultural GDP, agricultural expenditure, net amount of FDI, foreign exchange reserve, export, world's GDP and world's trade amount, will promote the agricultural FDI, but its promotion is unobvious. The case study shows that three different managed parts which are government, state-owned enterprise and private enterprise have different FDI's pattern. The analysis of the agricultural FDI's strategy shows that we should take managed parts strategy, location choices strategy, entrance pattern strategy and management strategy. Finally, this paper gives a conclusion to the whole paper and has a discussion on it.This paper mainly talks about China's agricultural FDI and gives a systematic study on it. Moreover, the topic of this paper is relatively new. In this paper, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and case study are used to draw conclusions and reveal its policy implications. Innovation point of this paper are specifically manifested in the following: firstly, based on SWOT-CLPV model, we analyze the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of China's agricultural FDI, which basically make clear the status of China's agricultural FDI; secondly, based on the multiple regression model, we analyze the influenced factors of China's agricultural FDI, and get the main factors influencing the China's agricultural FDI; thirdly, based on case analysis method, we analyze three typical agricultural FDI cases which give a comparative of its strategies, and obtain the corresponding experience.
