Study On The Bullwhip Effect In Service Supply Chain Based On System Dynamics

With the rapid development of the service industry, service supply chain has become a new trend in the field of supply chain. At present, many scholars have made the qualitative and quantitative research on service supply chain, but there is very lack of research on the bullwhip effect in service supply chain. Therefore, doing research on the bullwhip effect in service supply chain will not only have very important theoretical significance but also provide beneficial enlightenments for the supply chain management of service enterprises.There are six chapters in this dissertation. In the first chapter, the main research contents and research framework for this dissertation are determined. In the second chapter, the research status of service supply chain, the bullwhip effect in product supply chain and the application of system dynamics in the field of bullwhip effect are discussed. In the third chapter, the feasibility of applying system dynamics to studying on the bullwhip effect in service supply chain is analyzed. In the fourth chapter, the system dynamics model of the bullwhip effect in service supply chain is constructed and the model is simulated by Vensim PLE. Through the analysis of the simulation results, the bullwhip effect in service supply chain is further validated from the aspects of order backlog, target processing capacity and processing capacity of service supply chain. Furthermore, the differences between the bullwhip effect in service supply chain and the bullwhip effect in product supply chain are discussed. In the fifth chapter, the causes of the bullwhip effect in service supply chain is analyzed. The bullwhip effect in service supply chain does harm to the service supply chain management. On the basis of it, the countermeasures of weakening and controlling the bullwhip effect in service supply chain are put forward.
