MS International Logistics Company Business Development Research Analysis

MS international logistics company is a private international logistics company, located in Tianjin Binhai New Area. Over nearly 20 years, it witnesses the general opening up of international logistics, meanwhile, foreign giant international logistics poured into the domestic market and world-famous enterprises established their branches in China. According to the 11th National five-year Plan, Tianjin will be developed into an international logistics and shipping center. Logistics will become one of the ten pillar industries. MS has grown up from a small international logistics agent into a comprehensive one providing all kinds of relating services for clients. Tianjin, the center of logistics, will offer a good prospect for company. But with the increasing pressure, MS has a clear awareness of the business competition and increasing requirement from clients. It is an urgent problem that how to benefit the good situation to develop itself and how to offer better services to manage the existing competition.I offer the analysis of the situation of international logistics in Tianjin Binhai New Area and examine the general situation in this region from the perspectives of policy, economy and technology. Then I provide my study of MS services with the findings of specifications and developing prospect of its various services. I make it clear with management tool --- bcg matrix or the matrix of product or service mix that requires companies to classify their products or services and to choose appropriate management strategies according to different specifications of their products or services. I offer the methods to deal with competition with the analysis of MS services and its external environment. I used Mike Potter's Five-force Model in this area to analyze the general pressures a company facing. I find out the two main classical and new logistics services and offer my further study with the theory of lifecycle to make MS's developing strategy more persuasive. I also give my suggestions on MS's future.
