From now and long time in the future, for the majority of state-owned commercial banks, their major business and sources of the profit is coming from credit asset management, which also takes their major resources and risks of their management. The potential risks of asset management is hiding in every aspect of the credit business processes, a good credit business process will improve the quality and efficiency of the business, and enhance the ability to guard against and defuse the potential credit risks.This thesis takes the Huangshi Branch of Agriculture Bank of China as an example, and make a throughout analysis regarding their credit business process, furthermore, it points out 4 defects of the process, such as: first, the defects of the credit business policies, a unified system of credit policy, coordination and management were not mature, part of the credit business system is overlapping, or even contradictory; second, the defects about credit process: some of the credit business is low efficiency and poor supervision over the risk control; third, employee evaluation mechanisms defects: the evaluation of employees for credit assessment business is inadequate, leading to poor performance; forth, defects in the work of loan approval: the loan approval process is not well organized, especially the credit assessment assembly.For these four deficiencies, this thesis presents specific ways to improve, such as: first, improve the system of credit policies and systems: To review and check all the relevant policies and systems; to revise and update policies and systems; to enhance conductivity and implementation. Second, to focus on the customer: to simplify the credit process for customers; to establish express flow and improve efficiency; to integrate loaning process. Third, to improve the performance review system, and to make positive encourage according to relevant responsibilities, and to clarify the responsibilities of different works, and to associate the payments system with the benefit. Forth, to improve the credit assessment mechanism, and reform the working methods of Credit Assessment Concil, to implement the restriction of the incentive and restraint mechanisms, to reorganize the members of Credit Assessment Council; 3, To implement vertical management of Credit Assessment Council, to make the loan approval process more independently.
