The Study Of Food Safety Crisis Management Mechanism In Chinese Large Food Manufacturers

This paper is an exploring study on the establishment of efficient crisis management system and mechanism on food safety in Chinese large food manufacturers.To provide the supportive theory for the discourse on the crisis management mechanism on food safety in Chinese large food manufacturers, the paper firstly defines the crisis & enterprise crisis, food safety & food safety crisis and enterprise crisis management, reviewing the overseas and domestic crisis management theory prevailing in enterprises nowadays. Then, the paper gives an account of four typical cases in related to food safety crisis occurred in China in recent years, including"Clenbuterol Scandal"of Shuang Hui,"Call Back Milk Event"of Bright Dairy,"Prunella Incident"of Wang Lao Ji and"Water Resources Event"of Master Kang. Within this part, the paper analyzes the status and deficiency of food safety crisis management in large Chinese food manufacturers according to"Enterprise Crisis Management Five Forces Model"and reaffirms the main problem that is to be studied. The paper then classifies the various types of food safety crisis, describes the characteristics of different types of crises and analyzes the origin of these crises. Afterwards, the paper puts forward the advanced"Enterprise Crisis Management Five Force Model"based the study on existing theories and researches of crisis management. Refer to real situation of Chinese large food manufacturers, the article finally presents the normal crisis management mechanism and creative crisis management proposals towards the food safety crisis management in Chinese large food manufacturers, and crystallize the above mechanism and proposals by practicing in BD Inc.Through systematic analysis and research, the paper expects to enhance domestic food manufacturers'capability of crisis management and comprehensive competitive power by boosting the establishment and improvement of efficient food safety crisis management mechanism in large food manufacturers in China. The paper also expects to generate the successful experience to all kinds of food related enterprises to further rebuild consumers'confidence towards the food industry and provide impetuses to the sustainable development of food related enterprises and the whole food industry.
