Along with China's reform and opening up, the traditional catering industry hasacquired unprecedented development. A modern industry structure has beenestablished with the substantially growth of the amount of enterprises, diversity ofoperating format and investors, chaining of business modes and popularization ofmarket demands. Meanwhile the sustainable development of the industry has been inthe crucible of the dynamic environment, competition and inherent defect of theindustry. Since the high staff turnover rate and poor service have been restricting theenterprises'development, the deficiency of the human resource management systemthe industry has been analyzed and the improving measure has been proposed fromthe organizational learning perspective to enhance the core competence of the industry.First, according to abundant literature review, concepts, models and functions oforganizational learning and human resource management modes have been explored.Further the concepts related to the thesis have been defined.Second, illustrated by Haidilao and McDonald, two distinct and typicalenterprises, the characteristics of human resource management have been analyzedfrom organizational learning perspective. The mechanism of improving employeesatisfaction and business performance through organizational learning has beenadvanced from comparative analysis. Deficiency of Haidilao has been summarizedand the improvement suggestions have been presented.Third, on the basis of theoretical and case analysis, the questionnaire survey onindicators that infect the job satisfaction of catering staff has been made and the datahave been analyzed as the quantitative supplement of the research. Afterwards, thecircular feedback system of the human resource management activities has beenestablished from organizational learning perspective to provide human resourcemanagement suggestions for Chinese catering business.Finally, the limitations and future research of the study have been discussed.
