In the Knowledge Economy Era, maximizing human capital investment is the key problem that needs to be resolved for all types of present organizations with the following two methods of reducing the high power distance orientation to maintain a normal interaction between leaders and employees and promoting employees'organizational justice to enhance their enthusiasm and initiative. In the context of Chinese culture, this research, from the perspective of regulatory regime, probes into the system that performance management acts on organizational power distance orientation and organizational justice with the analysis method which combines theory with positivism.The research consists of six chapters including introduction and conclusion. Chapter One first briefly introduces the background, significance, purpose, innovation and structural arrangements of the whole research. Chapter Two reviews the relevant literature about upward appraisal, power distance orientation and organizational justice. Chapter Three first points out the theoretical model and the research assumptions accordingly. Chapter Four center on questionnaire design and data acquisition, including design process, framework, investigation and modification, variable measurement, analysis of reliability and validity of the questionnaire. Chapter Five makes some tentative conclusions based on the analysis of 222 questionnaires as following: (1) Upward appraisal the employees perceived and their power distance orientation appear in a obvious negative correlation; (2) Upward appraisal the employees perceived and their organizational justice appear in a obvious positive correlation; (3) Feedback seeking behavior plays a positive role between upward appraisal the employees perceived, their power distance orientation and organizational justice; (4) Leader - member exchange (LMX) plays a negative role between upward appraisal the employees perceived, their power distance orientation and organizational justice. In Conclusion, it summarizes the research results, describes the theoretical contributions and management revelations, and puts forwards the disadvantages and future research prospects...
