Research On The Spare Parts Inventory Optimizer And The Equipment Management In S Company

With the automation and modernization of the modern manufacturing company, the productions become more and more dependence on the equipments. As the necessary material during the equipments maintenance, spare parts roles more and more important now. The planning department and maintenance department have pay more attention on the spare parts management and planning and its inventory optimizer, but it is still be a big problem to find the balance between the needs and inventory.Based on the current business situation, the spare parts inventory will be analyzed and will find the methods to optimize the inventory structure and reduce the inventory level. In the thesis, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) will be used to find the critical classification of the equipment. By using the Machinery Failure mode and effects analysis (MFMEA), the potential equipment risk will be shown and adjust the related maintenance strategy. The thesis will also study the current spare parts inventory and use ABC classification to distribute them. The inventory will be adjusted according to the result of the spare parts critical classification from ABC classification and MFMEA. The research can not only help the shop find a way to optimize the inventory but also has some benefit on the equipments down-time, it can be a reference for the company to optimize the spare parts inventory and the maintenance strategy .
