In recent years, the high turnover rate or even"labor shortage"has become one of the most important things that the manufacturing managers were facing. In T Company, this issue has disturbed the normal development progress of Project B, so the project team must resolve it immediately.In this text, 1601 employees of T Company were tracked for 20 months, with their join date and resign date recorded. Under the help of SPSS15.0, we analyzed their characteristics on demographics variable, including Age, Sex, Education, Marital status and Address of Residential Account. In the mean time, base on survival analysis method, we set up a model to reflect the impact of demographics variable on operator continual service time; the key demographics variables were also located. Base on above result, the operator selection rule for Project B, T Company was defined at last. The methodology used in this text provides a new thinking for manufacturing managers to meet the challenge of high turnover rate nowadays. |
