In automoblile industry, vehicle order lead time has a specific none to corresponding, that is order to delivery (OTD). Vehicle OTD in automobile industry occurs along with lean thoughts in recent years, which breaks long dated"invertory push plan"mode of production and build new important means of"order pull"mode of production. In order to cope with future automobile industry facing challenges, Shanghai Gerneral Motors (SGM), as one of the Chinese automobile industry's important leaders, wants to further improve operational efficiency, reduce cost and boost production as well as sales volume. SGM, setting out from overall situation, hopes to use theory of constraints (TOC) to mine company's operating business chain constraints and bottlenecks, so as to pooling resources and improving continuously. With domestic automobile industry's vehicle OTD characteristic and practice, this article further studies on key technology of vehicles sales forecast, put forward a set of quantitative calculation and qualitative analysis of technology integration of vehicle sales forecast optimization methodology. In order to verify this methodological validity and applicability, the article combines with SGM's actual business and related datas, carries on an empirical research and achieves satisfactory results. Combined with practice, the article uses proposed methodology to perform a complete vehicle order management and inventory management optimization process, and complete on the theory of technology empirical analysis. The article aims to study and explore gradually change from the past"push"mode of production and marketing to"pull"mode of production and marketing, shortening vehicle OTD, building a customer centric in order to sell strategic management system, in order to enhance rapid ability of response to market demand and consensus of production and sales.
