The Analysis And Evaluation Study Of The Medical And Pharmaceutical Products Industry Competitiveness In Heilongjiang Province

Since the execution of reform and opening-up policy, our country's market structure has constantly been improved, and the competition in industry has been more intensified. As one of the main factors that decide the competitive power of a country or a region, the industry competitiveness has become the vital factor that determines the economic development of a certain region. Medical and pharmaceutical products industry, with high intensification and internalization, is one of the 15 internationalized industries according to international norms. In recent years, with the chance that medical and pharmaceutical products industry was confirmed as one of the mainstay industries in Heilongjiang, medical and pharmaceutical products industry in Heilongjiang Province has been expanding unceasingly and has been facing more challenge in the severely competitive environment of medical market. The paper first reviews correlative theories of industry competitiveness and makes a brief analysis of the development of medical and pharmaceutical products industry in Heilongjiang Province. Then on the basis of the connection and the difference between the theory of comparative advantage and competitive advantage, and of the practical circumstances in Heilongjiang, two index systems are founded to evaluate the comparative advantage and competitive advantage in Heilongjiang Province with principal component analysis method and SPSS software. Finally, advices of how to improve the competitiveness of Heilongjiang's medical and pharmaceutical products industry are put forward.The introduction of the content and the structure of this paper is as follows:ChapterⅠwill present an introduction. This chapter will describe the background of subject selection, the significance of this research, the development of relevant domestic and foreign researches, as well as the research method and structural layout of this paper.ChapterⅡwill provide brief introduction about the current state of medicine industry of Heilongjiang Province, show the status and significance of medicine industry, and provide analyses for current development state, existing problems and development trend of medicine industry. ChapterⅢwill present a summary of theories on industrial competitiveness. The chapterⅡwill provide analyses and elaboration about connotation of industrial Characteristics, and introduce several typical theories on industrial Characteristics and propose theoretical ground of this paper.Chapter IV will provide analyses for the comparative advantages of medical and pharmaceutical products industry of Heilongjiang Province and take 40 industries of Heilongjiang Province as targets to carry out empirical analyses, present appropriate index system, sequence the targets by means of principal component analysis, and elaborate and explain the results of foresaid analyses.Chapter V will analyze the competitive advantages of medical and pharmaceutical products industry of Heilongjiang Province and take 25 cities and provinces as targets to carry out empirical analyses with the same method as described in Chapter IV, and summarize the competitive advantages of medical and pharmaceutical products industry of Heilongjiang Province.
