Industrial Competitiveness Evaluation Research Of Medical And Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry Of Jiangxi Province

Medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is a knowledge andtechnology-intensive high-tech industry, is also a special industry which hasrelationship with the people’s livelihood. People’s government of Jiangxi province hasdefined the bio-pharmaceutical industry as one of the strategic emerging industries,and the Chinese medicine and bio-pharmaceutical industry as one of the six pillarindustries of Jiangxi successively, and continually increasing its efforts to support itsscientific and technological innovation. Under the background of the newopportunities and challenges the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry ushering,how to improve the competitiveness of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry ofJiangxi, so as to achieve its sustainable and rapid development, has become animportant issue that needs people at all levels of Jiangxi to attach great importance toand do in-depth study.Based on relevant literature on theory research and evaluation methodsresearches of the pharmaceutical industry and industrial competitiveness,development status of the pharmaceutical industry of our country and Jiangxiprovince are analyzed; combining the dual theory of comparative advantage andcompetitive advantage, based on both different emphases that the comparativeadvantage is more focused on comparisons among different industries of the samearea and the competitive advantage is more focused on comparisons of the sameindustry among different areas, respectively establish the provincial competitivenessevaluation index system and regional competitiveness evaluation index system ofJiangxi’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry; using the factor analysis method toevaluate the provincial competitiveness of36industries of Jiangxi to clear thecomparative advantage of the pharmaceutical industry in Jiangxi Province, using thefactor analysis and cluster analysis methods to evaluate the regional competitivenessof19cities of China where the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry are mainlydistributed, then make a classification to clear the competitive advantage of Jiangxi’spharmaceutical manufacturing industry in our country; according to the evaluation results, this article put forward some relevant countermeasures and suggestions toimprove the competitiveness of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry of Jiangxiprovince.
