Research On The Professional Competence Of Students Majoring In Hospitality Management In Universities

The college students of Chinese Hospitality management are an important source of hotel staff. With the rapid development of the hotel in China, it is very important to put forward higher requirement of hotel staff professional ability. Therefore, it currently becomes the main tasks of Hospitality management discipline education to strengthen the research and evaluation of restaurant management students' ability, improve the restaurant management students' professional skills, and make students better adapt the hotel work.The current research of university hotel management students' ability focuses primarily on the theoretical research, and many belong to a general cognition, not reflecting major characteristics. In the structural analysis of hotel management students' professional ability, many studies are generally the first level of division on large frame, lack of a clear and detailed secondary division,and not pertinent. In the evaluation of hotel management students' professional skills, most evaluation just involve cognitive perspectives and construct ideas, however, the research and evaluation involving the actual application are less. In short, it is relatively more to analyze college hotel management students' professional ability with other subject research methods, and the analysis closely related to this professional situation is comparatively less. The related research needs to be further deepened.Based on the analysis of the professional ability, combining teaching situation of hotel management discipline, and using literature search, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor method and the other methods to explore the concept, structure and specific content of university hotel management professional students' abilities, we will get a comprehensive and profound understanding of this professional of students' professional skills. On this basis, this article uses analytic hierarchy process and comprehensive evaluation methods to invest, calculate and test each constitutional indexes and specific factors of college hotel management professional students' vocational ability, resulting in a detailed and specific weight list. So this paper concretely research the hotel management professional students' vocational ability and quantitatively evaluates the students' vocational ability instead of qualitative analyzing, in certain extent, highlights the professional characteristics. The central argument of the paper is that we should profoundly understand the definition of ability, systematically understand the structure of vocational ability, and fully understand the situation of hotel management, and then make clear analysis research of vocational ability;The composition of university hotel management professional of students' professional skills must reflect hotel characteristics, The evaluation of professional students' vocational ability must be based on the practical and effective principles. And we should implement comprehensive and in-depth evaluation of college hotel management professional students' vocational ability. In the vocational ability training of hotel management student, it should be combined with the results of research and evaluation, reference to international advanced training model, give the specific ideas and measures.
