So the analysis of their financial situation has important practical significances. Taiyuan Heavy Industry (600169) is the first heavy machinery listed company in Shanxi Province. At present, it has good results of operations and market image. The Investment in aerospace has been continued risen with the arrival of "the Twelfth Five-Year Plan". This brings new opportunities to Taiyuan Heavy Industry. But the international financial crisis brings challenges at the same time. So, we choose Taiyuan Heavy Industry as the object of study in this paper, and make a comprehensive analysis and evaluation on it. Then we give out some suggestions and measures to prompt the rapid and healthy development for Taiyuan Heavy Industry and other companies in heavy machinery industry. The main structure of this paper is as follows:The first part is the introduction of this paper. We described the background and significance of our topic and introduced the main research ideas of this paper in this part.The second part is mainly about the theories of financial analysis which has been repeated used in the article. Such as the basic theory, the basic research methods and the application of financial analysis. The third part is mainly about the analysis of the internal and external environment of heavy machinery industry, especially the environment of Taiyuan Heavy Industry. In this part, we pointed out the disadvantages and advantages of Taiyuan Heavy Industry in competition.The forth part is mainly about the financial analysis of Taiyuan Heavy Industry. We analyzed it from four aspects:its operating capacity, profitability, comprehensive capacity, and growth capacity. Then, we make a comprehensive analysis and evaluation to it with Du Pont Analysis.The fifth part is mainly about the countermeasures and suggestions. Based on the background analysis and financial analysis of Taiyuan Heavy Industry in those four parts, we made some targeted suggestions to prompt the healthy and rapid development of Taiyuan Heavy Industry.Based on the above analysis, Taiyuan Heavy Industry has a good financial capacity. There are only two major problems. First, its solvency needs to be further enhanced. Second, its investment should be increased to speed up the recovery of its investment.
