Although taboo culture is still an unfamiliar term for many people, it has already existed in people's daily life since ancient times. There are various kinds of taboos all around the world, influencing people's life with a very close relationship in different degrees.With the international communication getting more and more frequently as a result of the day-by-day deepening globalization, taboo culture begins playing a prominent part in the transnational exchanges. Where there is communication there is conflict, especially the conflict caused by the different cultures. It is extremely difficult to complete such a task which is successful without any friction and conflict during the cross-communication exchanges, however it will be easy if we can understand the real meaning of the cultural symbols, which are the taboos, for taboo itself is a unique national cultural symbols and the mysterious key to the door of successful international contacts.Considering that the study of the taboo culture is so valuable while the quantity of the work is so small in which taboos in different countries are compared completely and deeply, the author decided to study and compare the similarities and differences of taboos both in Japan and China through three respects: taboos of language, taboos of behavior and taboos on special holidays, in order to avoid the friction and conflict to ensure the smooth progress of the Sino-Japanese relations by enhancing mutual understanding.As taboos involving a wide range of cultural content, while the purpose of the author is to help people to be well aware of the taboo area of Sino-Japanese cultures through in-depth comparative analysis of taboo culture, we can only choose the three most influential and significant kinds of taboos as the research object, and sincerely hope that this research can provide more help for the future relevant research of Sino-Japanese taboos.
