Bank card is the combination of the bank business and the modern technology as a new payment instruments and credit instruments. Nowadays, the bank card business has become a business strategy to adjust the financial industry at home and abroad, expand service areas, drive business growth. In recent years, the banks in China enhance the competition in the card market, also they set up their own card center to operate. With the more and more larger market, the circulation becomes swift, meanwhile, the trade-off amount increases rapidly. But, our bank card market is lying in a low-level market and competition compared with the matured market abroad. For example, the industry in U.S.A already enters in a matured phase, they have already formed a large system. Our fiancémarket has already opened ,faced the fierce challenge. So, how to improve the competition of our commercial bank card service becomes important ,also has considerable theoretical and practical significance.This article bases on the ideas from theory to practice. Firstly, the author describes SCP industrial competitiveness of traditional theory and modern theory of industrial competitiveness from the point of theory of competitiveness; also he reviews the competitiveness of the banking industry and the relevant bank card business competitiveness. Then, he analyses the level of competitiveness in domestic based on the framework of SCP, he divides into three aspects: the market structure, market conduct and market performance. Accord with the above analyze, the author constructs a systematic and practical commercial bank card business competitiveness evaluation index principal component analysis, commercial banks in China bank card business Competitiveness. we make a conclusion that the tight relevance between the Competitiveness and the structure in our card market. In the shared bank card , the structure of card market directly determines the competitive strength of the bank card business. In the last part, the author gives some advices to improve the competitiveness of commerce bank card business.
