Petrochina Sw's Intellectual Property Management Optimization Studies

The intellectual property rights (IPR) has become one of important index reflecting the competitive power of an enterprise nowadays. Facing the strict appraisal on state-owned enterprises'IPR management by government, the increasingly fierce competition on IPR strategy between domestic big oil companies, the more and more international disputes related to IPR met by Chinese enterprises, being an important state-owned company, PetroChina SW Company is now under heavily pressures on developing IPR management, and so had to research the current status of IPR management of the company and management experiences of other advanced enterprises, puts forward the optimization program and detailed measures on improving IPR management level of SW company, so as to improve the enterprises'independent innovation ability, strengthen the core competitive force of the enterprise and realize sustainable development of enterprise.With IPR management work in PetroChina SW Company as the study object, case analysis method firstly is used to analyze and summarize the IPR management strategies and experiences of domestic and foreign advanced enterprises, and then, comparative analysis method is used to analyze the gaps between IPR work of SW Company and other advanced companies through the whole process of IPR creating, using and protection. On the basis of comprehensive analysis, key aspects of IPR management optimization in SW Company, including enforcement of IPR strategic planning, improvement of IPR organization and systems, optimization of IPR management process, expanding of IPR application, strengthening of IPR information base construction and IPR assessment system construction and so on. Moreover, detailed implementing measures about the key aspects are put forward respectively.
