The competition of the banks business has been gradually increased as the relaxing of financial regulation. The profitability of commercial banks has been gradually decline in traditional business. And the personal financial services have become one of the new profit growth points. In recent years, the financial products market has experienced a explosive explosion, which poses a problem of homogenization of financial products. The author chose the four major state-controlled banks and six joint-stock banks as the research object to try to verify whether the differentiation is significant or not through weighted semi-variance model and interval estimation by using the annualized return data of the ten banks form 2006 to 2010. The result shows that there is a significant difference of the RMB financial products in these commercial banks and the problem of homogenization has been decreased greatly. The empirical research shows that the average income of the six joint-stock commercial banks are higher than the four state-controlled banks and the return rate of RMB financial products from different issuing agencies and different styles have a significant difference. Then the author suggests the the commercial banks to increase the RMB financial products yields from the perspective of improvement of quality of the products and services. They should Further enhance financial product level, cultivate the high-quality financial product r&d talents, scientificly design the risk and income structure of financial products and make the market subdivision for the financial customers.
