| This thesis uses a theory framework of Government Regulation and "SCP" ("R-SCP") to analyze the coal industry. The paradigm of "SCP" is established by Harvard school of thought set the three dimensions over the industrial study of the market structure, the enterprise's behavior and the economic efficiency. On one hand, the paradigm of "SCP" has a system of the logical frame. On the other hand, government regulation plays an important role in coal industry sustainable development. Under the "R-SCP" and coal industry merger & reorganization, this thesis studies that the government regulation influences economic performance of coal industry. Combined with the theory of industrial organization and measuring economic method, this thesis studies that the government regulation affects the market concentration, and the relationship between profit margins and market concentration from industrial level and enterprise level of coal industry. Finally, this thesis provides a powerful empirical test for the effect of government regulation policy, and provides powerful policy suggestions for coal industry sustainable development. |
