Research On The Relationship Between Retailers And Suppliers Based On Ecology Theory

The development of ecological theory has provided a new perspective for the study of business relationship. Supply chain is a new business relationship model in essence, sharing much similarity with food chain. Consequently, it takes on certain ecological features. The relationship between retailer and supplier, which is a special form of supply chain relationship, is considered the focus in the study of supply chain. Therefore, this thesis studies the relationship of retailer and supplier by employing the ecological theory. This thesis takes the theories from management studies, economics, ecology to analyze the interaction pattern and stability condition of the retailer and supplier, then proposes some strategies for solving the contradiction and promoting cooperation between the retailer and supplier.The main content of this thesis is divided into the following sections. Firstly, the supply chain as well as the retailer and supplier in the supply chain in the way of ecological theory are analyzed. In addition, by comparing the supply chain and ecological system, the effects that the discipline of species increasing on the expansion of the supplier and retailer are explored. What's more, the interaction relationship of the supplier and retailer is studied by adopting the site-specific relationship in the ecological theory. Then the correspondent interaction model is obtained, the condition for stability in the mathematic way is figured out and the ecological stability in the supply and retail relationship is evaluated. The model and the stability condition are used to analyze the interaction relationship and establish numerical simulation. At last, the optimization strategy is proposed from the perspective of the supplier, retailer and retailer and supplier as a whole.
