Service Industries Concentrated Research On The Effects Of Urbanization

At present, China has entered the stage of accelerating urbanization. It is a major issue for China that how we can promote the urbanization process and keep with the rapid and steady development of socio-economic in the 21st century. As a form of industry agglomeration, service industry agglomeration plays an important role to promote the development of urbanization. Under the national background of building a harmonious society, it has a reference value of China's urbanization development both on theory and practice to study the effects of service industry agglomeration on urbanization.This paper first reviews related research of service industry agglomeration and urbanization theory. Then it analyzes the level of urbanization and service industry agglomeration in Jiangsu Province. On this basis, by establishing time series data model and panel data model of urbanization and service industry agglomeration, it makes empirical analysis of the service sector of Jiangsu province and three regions, elaborating the effects of service industry agglomeration on urbanization. The results show that in terms of Jiangsu province, it has long-run equilibrium relationship between urbanization and spatial agglomeration level and Localization level of service industry. Development of the latter could raise the level of urbanization. Localization level has more effect on urbanization than spatial agglomeration level. In terms of three regions, urbanization has a positive correlation with spatial agglomeration level and Localization level of service industry in the Southern and middle part of Jiangsu Province, Localization level has more effect on urbanization. Urbanization has a positive correlation with spatial agglomeration level and a negative correlation with Localization level in the northern part of Jiangsu Province, spatial agglomeration level has more effect on urbanization. Finally, based on the research findings, the paper offers suggestions to promote the development of urbanization in Jiangsu Province from the perspective of promoting service industry space agglomeration, enhancing the opening up of service industry and expanding the supply of services talents.
