An Empirical Research On How Urbanization Boost Service Industries Cluster Of Hunan Province

With the development of the urbanization and the world economy restructuring from the "industrial economy" to "service economy", industrial agglomeration does not only appears in the industrial field but also in many service industries such as finance, movies, traveling. Because of their particular industry characteristics, the evaluation of services industry cluster should not be relying on a simple cluster model for manufacturing, but rather the formation of a scientific evaluation system, and because of the identity of the service product in the production and consumption and the constant upgrading of industrial structure made the cities become the preferred district for development of services industry agglomeration, Such as many studies have pointed out that the nature of urbanization is the cluster of industry ,the continuing concentration of population, the continuous progress of urbanization, in turn, can promote the further concentration of industry. As a industru with distinctive feature of the city, there is more closely linked between the service industry and the city. This paper combines theoretical and empirical research ,builds a Industry cluster evaluation model of two-dimensional and studies the process of urban agglomeration influence on the service industry cluster, then using Hunan Province as the research object, measures service industry cluster of Hunan Province and 5 aspects of urbanization'promoting on ervice industry cluster.According to the characteristics of service industries, using two-dimensional evaluation model of service industries cluster this paper described by the entropy index location services in Hunan Province as well as the overall trend of concentration, then the use of space Gini coefficient, Herfindahl index and the geographic concentration index specific categories of services in Hunan Province, gathering 13 situations. We found that the gathering services in Hunan Province in the overall level of rising trend, and in 2007 more than the degree of industrial concentration. Wholesale and retail trade, accommodation and catering industry and other traditional consumer services sector, particularly concentration, spatial clustering and high degree of concentration within the industry. Finance, transport storage and other modern service industry concentration is lower and still in the early stage of development services cluster. Public services are not entirely suitable for service industries concentrated two-dimensional evaluation model with spatial agglomeration lower and higher industry concentration.Urbanization has many connotations, in the city comprehensive selection of indicators based on the use of ridge regression analysis to promote the city to promote the role of service industries concentrated in the regression simulation study found that population urbanization, economic urbanization, standard of living and other aspects of urbanization to enhance the level of urbanization, are able to promote the gathering services in Hunan Province, where the population concentration of urbanization on the impact of services is particularly significant.Finally, service industries concentrated in the integrated development of Hunan Province and service industries concentrated in urbanization and the results of empirical research, combined with the development of Hunan service status, this paper will give a reasonable proposal both in service sector development and promoting the development priorities put forward.
