As the most effective way to resolve passenger problems, High-speed rail plays an important and far-reaching role in social and economic development. With the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city, the Shanghai-Nanjing, Shanghai-Hangzhou, Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and so on to open, how to scientifically and reasonably quantitative analysis of influence of socio-economic and regional sphere of high-speed railway becomes important issue of railway's relevant departments and the general scholars, and increasingly attracts extensive attention from scholars home and abroad. Scientific research on socio-economic impact of the node cities along the high-speed rail, and reasonably determining the influenced sphere of the node cities are not only important basis for establishing the development strategy of the overall regional, but as the premise of coordinating mutual relations between the cities of the region.Based on concluding related literature extensively, taking Beijing-Shanghai Railway for example, this paper selects indicators from society, economic, resources and environment, and from the perspectives of departure from the node cities and influenced spheres of the node cities, this paper uses Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) model and gravity model to study the regional socio-economic impact of the high-speed rail, and divides the influenced regions along the high-speed rail by the gradient method. This degree paper consists of six chapters. The first two chapters are the guidance, including introduction of the paper and relevant theoretical approaches. Chapter1analy ses the background and significance of the research, a brief introduction to the content a nd the line of the research on socio-economic impact of the high-speed rail. The second chapter describes details about the theory, application and the development of data envel opment analysis and potential models.Chapter3,4and chapter5are the main part of this article. The third chapter interpr ets socio-economic system from the aspects of the society, economy, environment and r esources, and builds the evaluation indicator for social economy. Chapter4uses DEA m odel to evaluate the socio-economic impact of the high-speed rail to the city from nodal cities'perspective.Chapter5uses the improved gravity model to evaluate nodal attraction for surroun ding area from the perspective of nodal cities'influence basin, and then ascertains the in fluence gradient of the high-speed rail.Last but not the least, this chapter summarizes the main results and analysis the shortcomings of this paper. What's more, the main content of the following work are also introduced here.
