Study On The Strengths And Weaknesses Of Cross-border Service Outsourcing In Dalian

Currently, service-outsourcing industry is becoming an important driving force to push the service industry ahead. Meanwhile, modern cross-border service industry makes the cross-border service outsourcing become the focus issue in recent years. In order to promote the development of service outsourcing, China takes numbers of measures. It is predicted that model cities in China will replace Bangalore, Manila and Mumbai gradually to become the world's cross-border service outsourcing delivery centers.Dalian is the first one to establish software and service outsourcing development strategy. Through years of development, Dalian has made remarkable achievements. Dalian is outstanding in the rank of the global cross-border service outsourcing delivery cities. Currently, Dalian is committed to become the world's leading city of software and service outsourcing.Most of the papers on the strengths and weaknesses of cross-border service outsourcing are mainly depend on methods.One is quantitative research and they overlook the factors that can't be quantified, besides, most papers have no detailed description on the reasons why they choose these factors, they usually analyze the competitiveness of cross-border service outsourcing directly. The other one is the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses without the detailed reasons why they choose these aspects. In response to these deficiencies, we analyze the motivation of cross-border service outsourcing. Thus we get the factors affecting competitiveness and analyze them specifically. Then, we analyze the strengths and weaknesses of Dalian in detail.In this section, quantitative and qualitative analysis is integrated.Finally, according to the analysis we make recommendations for how to improve the ability of cross-border outsourcing in Dalian.
