Research On Correlation Between China's Urban Economic Growth And Environmental Quality Coordinated Development

The relationship of conditioning and promoting each other exists between economic growth and environment quality. As the rapid development of global economy, the influence on ecological and environmental problem which results from economic growth is getting serious. In contract, the deterioration of ecological environment is having a stronger condition to the economic growth. People now are paying much more attention to the relationship between ecological environment and economic growth. The purpose of economic growth and ecological harmonious development is to finish the task of economic growth and at the same time, to make the influence of the economic growth having on environment quality within a scope of a reasonable ecological capacity, the way of which must be low pollution, low expending and having a positive impact on ecological environment. Thus, finding a harmonious way both on economic growth and environment quality is quite pressing, and taking care of a series of ecological environment problems during the process of economic growth is also urgent.At first, the research background and benefit of the article was clarified. The way and the goal of the research was elaborated, the boundaries of some concepts was clarified, such as resource, environment, ecological environment quality, development, sustainable development, which was under the circumstance of knowing the current research situation of environment quality and economic growth both domestic and abroad. The economic growth of a country or a region could be explained from different respects, such as the economic scale, the industrial structure, the technology progress and economic openness. The influence of economic growth having on environment also could be explained from the respects mentioned above. The article explained the relationship between economic development and ecological environment of Yangzi Delta. Yangzi Delta was taken for an example (data mainly from 16 cities in Shanghai, Jiangsu province and Zhejiang province), analyzed the environmental problems during regional economic development in detail. First of all, the economic aggregate, the economic status and the economic level of 16 cities in Yangzi Delta was described. The environment cost under the current economic quality was analyzed, and an all-round investigation of the current environmental quality was done. An empirical analysis in respects of the economic aggregate, the way of economic growth and the economic openness was used on the base of basic situation and basic economic data.At the beginning of the research, a clear boundary of Yangzi Delta was given. Then, a comparison of regional GDP and GDP per capita of the region was done, which are all compared with that of national data. The data are derived from 1978 to 2009. The environmental impact was analyzed from the respect of the three wastes, and the current industrial structure and the trend was analyzed from the respect of way of economic growth. In this way, the environmental impact derived from industrial structure changing was analyzed. In the end, a quantitative analysis was used in analyzing the economic openness, from which the influence of ecological environment could be concluded in two respects of commodity market and capital market. The conclusion of judging the phase of Simon Kuznets curve was drawn at last, and also some suggestions was given.
