Comparison Of The Quality Of Economic Development For The West Delta Region, And Empirical Analysis

The great western development has past ten years, the economic and social development of western region has made significant achievements, but it still has many problems. Because there is no growth pole appear in the west region., which led to the relatively slower development of west region and the gap between east and west has expanded continually. The concept of Western triangle was proposed in this background. It integrated three provinces which is the most powerful provinces in the west region and took use of resource endowment to upgrade the industrial structure. However, there was imbalance in the economic development of Western triangle, so we not only pay attention to regional disparities in economic quantities, but also to reflect on the quality aspects of economic development. The article see the western triangle as a whole one, focused on the internal economic development quality of this region, then compared the develop level of three province and used empirical analysis to further explained. It not only pulled scientific concept of development into this article and met the new requirements of it but also promote the great western development strategy and deepen the strategic implementation for building the West triangle and provided specific and operable advice for this region.This article first reviews the basis of domestic and international research, combining with the theory of regional economic development,defining the concept of the quality of economic development and constructing the evaluation system. Secondly, defined the scope of Western triangle and compared the number of economic scale, then, analyzed the indicators which have impact on the quality of economic development one by one, including economic efficiency, economic structure, economic impact, economic development cost and economic welfare. Thirdly, based on the indicator system, took use of SPSS to do factor analysis and cluster analysis, got the quality score of 33 cities of Western triangle. We found a big difference in the Western triangle area, the paper proposed the countermeasure suggestion to improve the quality of regional economic development.
