In the economic globalization today, the service industry is a measure of the level of development of modern society, an important indicator of the degree of economic development. National Congress Party has been expanding service sector, structure and quality improvements, service areas, the gradual deepening of reform and opening up, in the promotion of stable and rapid economic development, expand employment, and played an important role.Economic development in the region there should not be ignored, especially in some places too much emphasis on the development of industry, especially heavy industry, inadequate attention to the development of service industries. Insufficient supply of services in general, unreasonable structure, service level is low, less competitive on the national economy, the contribution rate is not high, and accelerating economic and social development, industrial structure adjustment and upgrade incompatible with economic globalization and incompatible with the new situation of opening-round. In this context, this case study of Nanjing, in-depth study area service industry on economic growth, has very important practical significance. This paper analyzes the concept of service-related and service economies, based on the theory of regional development and economic growth in the service industry to conduct a detailed empirical research, and services in the next phase of regional development trends and direction. Second is the use of services derived from the main factors affect the establishment of SUR models, the discussion of economic growth in the services sector and the main part of the relationship between the manufacturing sector to study whether the region's manufacturing service industry has a role in promoting each other, and then have to the services sector to promote regional economic growth, the conclusion, re-use cointegration analysis and Granger causality test and compare the conclusions of previous discussions between service sector and economic growth. Services and economic growth in the draw relevant conclusions, the area immediately to the next stage to predict the trend of development of service industry.Based on the above studies, this paper the following conclusions: First, the development impact of regional services to Nanjing, for example, the scale of the urban population, urbanization level of the impact of the service sector was relatively large, but the difference is small. Second, the service sector and economic growth in the main part of the manufacturing sector has a certain relevance for development of service industry has become an important driving force to upgrade the manufacturing industry, thus contributing to regional economic growth and promote industrial upgrading. Third, the regional service sector development and economic growth with long-term equilibrium relationship; in influencing the direction of services sector development and economic growth reinforce each other. Fourth, value added services in Nanjing will remain stable in the next stage of development trend, but its scale and speed of economic growth will be relatively moderate.
