China's agricultural trade has grown rapidly, particularly since its market liberalization leading up to its 2001 accession to the World Trade Organization. As one of the country's major provinces for agricultural production and export, Zhejiang's agricultural goods are widely recognized and accepted by foreign consumers, but there are also many things to be improved, such as the relatively small size of enterprises, insufficient investment in R&D, etc.Agricultural products'export boom in Zhejiang, a regional problem, has become a national issue.By the use of an analytical framework of heterogeneous firm trade model, starting from the level of enterprises, i. e. from micro-examination, I have, in this paper, decomposed agricultural products'export growth margin in Zhejiang into the intensive margin of trade and the extensive margin of trade.Based on the export data collected, I try to find out the better way to the growth of agricultural products'export in Zhejiang using nonparametric estimation technique. The main policy-implication of this paper is: because the intensive trade margin may lead to fluctuations in income from export and to deterioration of trade conditions, the way to the growth of agricultural products'export in Zhejiang is that agricultural products'export'intensive trade margin must be transformed, as quickly as possible, into the extensive trade margin.
