Although China is a large agricultural country, but at the same time is also a country with a large population, in order to successfully solve the problem of feeding its1.3billion people, the development of agriculture is particularly important. After the reform and opening up, the rapid development of China’s agricultural exports has earned a large number of foreign exchange gradually. However, we need to explore the problem that whether the mode of China’s agricultural products export mode is perfect, and whether it can play a long time to drive the development of domestic agriculture and agricultural trade. China-ASEAN Free Trade Area is fully completed in2010, to become the most populous free trade zone in the world. Agriculture plays an important role in the national economy of China and ASEAN. Geographical environment and labor environment in China and ASEAN are relatively similar, which is useful to recognize their own advantages and disadvantages through study the pattern of trade of agricultural products between China and ASEAN. More importantly, it can achieve the sound development of the situation of the transformation and upgrading of China’s agricultural products export structure as well as the agricultural trade through analyzing the pattern of trade between China and ASEAN and learning from each other. In this paper, we adopt the dual margin method of new trade theory to comparative analysis of China and ASEAN agricultural exports dual marginal due to the traditional neoclassical trade theory and new trade theory can not fully explain the growth of trade reasons. The research results show that the exports of agricultural products trade is a major contribution to the growth of trade along extensive marginal growth in China and ASEAN, that is, new agricultural products exports is greater than the contribution of existing products export trade. With respect to ASEAN, the extensive margin of trade is generally lower, and the intensive margin is generally higher in China. Thus, pulling effect of the export trade of agricultural products in the emergence of new products in China is less than ASEAN. And this paper also has analyzed the results. At last, according to the research results, this paper puts forward several policy suggestions in order to promote long-term development of China’s agricultural exports.
