Since the formal establishment of diplomatic ties between China and the Philippines on June 9,1975,the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has been frequent with remarkable achievements. In particular, since the establishment of the ASEAN free trade area in 2010,China has been strengthening economic and trade cooperation with ASEAN members. The Philippines is not only an important member of the CHINA-ASEAN free trade area, but also an important agricultural trade partner of China's countries along the "One Belt And One Road".Active economic and trade cooperation with the Philippines is of great significance to China's agricultural exports.Based on the latest research results of the heterogeneity trade theory of enterprises, this paper USES the statistical data of the United Nations commodity trade database from 2000 to 2017 and the binary marginal theory of export growth at the product level to study how China's export growth of agricultural products to the Philippines is realized. The dual marginal of export growth at the product level is actually a structural decomposition of the growth mode of export trade: the intensive marginal refers to the growth of export trade along the existing products in a single quantity, and the expanded marginal refers to the growth of export trade through the increase of export product categories.Firstly, this paper focuses on the definition, decomposition measure and welfare effect of the binary marginal theory. At the same time,it sorts out the factors that influence the export of agricultural products. The research of domestic scholars in the field of agricultural trade is summarized. The main body of this paper is divided into three parts. The first part is the theoretical analysis. It first describes the current situation of China's agricultural products export to the Philippines from the three aspects of export scale, export structure and export competitiveness. On this basis, this paper analyzes the binary marginal of China's export growth of agricultural products to the Philippines, and concludes that China's export growth of agricultural products to the Philippines is mainly realized along the intensive marginal. The second part is the empirical analysis.Through the establishment of VAR(2)model,the long-term stable and prosperous relations among intensive marginal, extended marginal, economic scale, fixed trade cost and agricultural capital input are found, and the influence degree of these factors on the binary marginal is analyzed. The third part, based on the above theoretical and empirical analysis, obtains several important conclusions about the growth mode of China's agricultural export trade to the Philippines, and puts forward relevant Suggestions to improve China's agricultural export trade mode to the Philippines.Intensive margin is the main way for China to increase its agricultural export to the Philippines.Meanwhile,we should give full play to the role of expanding marginal in agricultural export growth.China not only to expand the export of existing agricultural products, but also to adjust the export structure of agricultural products;Increase the input of agricultural funds and increase the added value of export agricultural products;Deepen economic and trade cooperation with the Philippines and reduce fixed trade costs.
