The Research On Social Responsibility Of Hunan Financial Corporations

Chinese commercial banks, as the most important financial corporations, play a vital role in national economy. With the sharpening financial competitions and the growing attention to the social integrity, the issue on the social responsibility of the financial corporations seems to be more urgent and significant.Combined with theory and practice, this paper defines the social responsibility of the financial corporations, and illustrates the content, hierarchy and the necessity of the corporate social responsibility of the financial industry. The paper has adopted questionnaire survey and selected the financial corporations of the Hunan Province as samples.Based on the review of the development history of the financial corporate social responsibility of home and abroad, the paper analyses the status quo of the social responsibility of the financial corporations in Hunan Province and points out the existing problems, supported by a large number of credible data.To address the problems, the study attaches great importance to both the policy environment and the self-regulating system of the financial corporations. The suggestions include: Reinforcing the financial legislation for the corporate social responsibility, advocating the government and the industry association to promote fulfillment of the social responsibility, restructuring the evaluation system, advancing the corporate governance and the management mechanism of the financial corporations and cultivating corporation culture relevant with the social responsibility.
