An economy develops to a certain extent which will need to find new market, which is the inevitable trend for development of market economy. With the rapid development about the world automobile industry, the market competition becomes increasingly international. The external environment that auto companies face becomes more and more complex, and the uncertainty factors are increasing and the competition will be increasingly fierce. In this context, Chinese auto enterprises face up to a severe test, how to open up new international markets and access to sustainable competitive advantage, and develop core competitiveness and change the existing competitive landscape, which have become an important issue.FAW Group is one of Chinese largest automotive enterprises, which have wide vehicle product and many specifications and large output and wide coverage area, in addition, the manufacturing of parts and components cover full range. The goal of FAW Group's international is to integrate into the environment of the world economic cycle, and enhance the ability about participation in international competition and the international division of labor, and built the auto industry group with international competitive strength.In this paper, the FAW Group acts as the research object. The writer does systematic analysis and researches about the choice of the FAW international mode-depth, and analyzes international models and status about several typical major international car companies at home and abroad mode based on the theories about international mode and the selection of international mode and reading literature at home and abroad. In addition, he also analyze the status quo that FAW Group explore international markets, and use IE matrix to analyze the necessity of FAW Group International by the analysis about FAW Group International motivation and currently facing the of internal and external environment. And the writer has a research on the status of the target market and the internal and external factors about influence mode selection of FAW Group International and construct model for the selection of FAW Group International mode and use the model to select the appropriate model for different international markets. The author proposes safeguards which the FAW Group achieve international mode selection in the end.Overall, the prospects are bright that the FAW Group develops in the international market. There is still a long way in order to truly create a competitive market size. The FAW group needs to steam and take the initiative to actively seize the opportunity and fully learn successful strategies and experiences from other international automobile manufacturers and select the appropriate mode of internationalization into the international market in the most effective way.
